I’ve contacted the author to see if they have the time to fix the issue. Fuzzy widgets does not follow the expected behaviour now found with WP 2.5; whereas in the past you had to define how many Text/RSS widgets you wanted available, you can now simply add another to your sidebar by clicking add. Other 3rd party plugins follow this behaviour as well, however Fuzzy widgets still require to set how many you specifically want. Finally, the Fuzzy Widgets’ Recent Posts appears to have issues displaying the widget’s title – though this is just cosmetic, the actual recent posts are dislpayed properly.

Basically, all went well, though I’ve had to (temporarily??) disable the Sticky Post plugin, and the Automatic Upgrade plugin was unable to clean up its temporary files straight away.
